Winds were light west of the Continental Divide, but they were breezy out of the southeast elsewhere, gusting between 25 and 35 mph at times. At 3 pm...Temperatures were still in the 80s in some western valleys and in far northeast Montana, while the remainder of the area had warmed well into the 90s. The coolest reading was 82 degrees F at both Hamilton and Plentywood, while the hot spot was Hardin at 102 degrees F. Overnight...A disturbance may bring isolated thunderstorms to much of the state during the evening, with gusty winds being the main threat. Storms should decrease after midnight, lingering mostly over northern Montana. Breezy southeast winds will also continue over the plains throughout the night.
