The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  North Florida

  Southeast Georgia



* Effective this Tuesday night from 740 PM until Midnight EST.



* Primary threats include...

  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible



SUMMARY...A line of severe storms moving across southwest GA and

north-central FL will continue to track across the watch area this

evening.  It appears likely that the storms may begin to decrease as

they approach the eastern edge of the watch.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 35

statute miles east and west of a line from 40 miles north northwest

of Waycross GA to 20 miles east southeast of Cross City FL. For a

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening

weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

tornadoes.
