The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  Extreme southwestern Louisiana

  Southeast Texas

  Coastal Waters



* Effective this Sunday morning and afternoon from 145 AM until

  100 PM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  A few tornadoes likely



SUMMARY...The threat for a few tornadoes will persist through at

least midday, east and northeast of the center of nearly stationary

Tropical Storm Harvey.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 60 statute miles

either side of a line from 35 miles west northwest of Angleton TX to

5 miles north of Lake Charles LA. For a complete depiction of the

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for

tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch

area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for

threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements

and possible warnings.
