The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  East central and southeastern Wisconsin

  Lake Michigan



* Effective this Sunday afternoon and evening from 440 PM until

  900 PM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  Scattered large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible



SUMMARY...A north-south band of storms will continue eastward, with

some intensification possible as the storms interact with the lake

breeze boundary off the west shore of Lake Michigan.  The storm

environment favors organized cluster/bowing segments, and perhaps

some embedded supercells, capable of producing damaging gusts and

large hail for the next few hours.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 30

statute miles east and west of a line from 10 miles west northwest

of Green Bay WI to 25 miles west southwest of Racine WI. For a

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening

weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

tornadoes.

1.5 inches. Extreme turbulence and surface wind gusts to 60 knots. A
