The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  Southern North Carolina

  Northeastern South Carolina



* Effective this Sunday afternoon and evening from 415 PM until

  1100 PM EDT.



* Primary threats include...

  A couple tornadoes possible



SUMMARY...Outer convective bands with the remnants of Florence will

continue to spread slowly northward through the evening.  The storm

environment will continue to favor embedded supercells in a narrow

zone, with the attendant threat for a couple of tornadoes through

late evening.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 45 statute miles

east and west of a line from 15 miles north of Southern Pines NC to

35 miles east southeast of Florence SC. For a complete depiction of

tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
