The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  Western and central Arkansas

  Southeast Kansas

  Southwest Missouri

  Eastern Oklahoma



* Effective this Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning from 510 PM

  until 100 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  A few tornadoes likely with a couple intense tornadoes possible

  Scattered damaging winds likely with isolated significant gusts

    to 80 mph possible

  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5

    inches in diameter possible



SUMMARY...Multiple areas of increasing severe thunderstorms are

expected through the early/mid-evening hours. Initially,

semi-discrete storms from far eastern Oklahoma into western/central

Arkansas could pose a severe/tornado risk, while other storms will

continue to move east/northeastward across northeast Oklahoma,

southeast Kansas, and southwest Missouri. A more widespread damaging

wind and continued tornado risk could evolve later this evening,

particularly across northeast Oklahoma into northwest Arkansas and

southwest Missouri.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 110 statute miles

north and south of a line from 10 miles north northwest of Tulsa OK

to 50 miles east northeast of Russellville AR. For a complete
