The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Northwest Kansas

  Far southwest Nebraska



* Effective this Monday night and Tuesday morning from 800 PM

  until 100 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible



SUMMARY...Long-lived cluster of strong to severe storms in southwest

Nebraska should spread south-southeast into northwest Kansas through

late evening, offering a risk for severe wind and hail before

weakening.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 45

statute miles north and south of a line from 40 miles north of

Goodland KS to 35 miles northeast of Hill City KS. For a complete
