The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  Eastern Maryland

  Eastern North Carolina

  Eastern Virginia

  Coastal Waters



* Effective this Thursday afternoon and evening from 150 PM until

  1100 PM EDT.



* Primary threats include...

  A few tornadoes possible

  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible



SUMMARY...A moist air mass and strong low-level winds associated

with Elsa will support the possibility of supercells capable of

brief tornadoes this afternoon and evening as Elsa continues

north-northeastward.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 65 statute miles

east and west of a line from 25 miles east northeast of Patuxent

River MD to 65 miles south southwest of Elizabeth City NC. For a
