The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  northern Florida

  southern Georgia

  Coastal Waters



* Effective this Thursday morning from 1210 AM until 800 AM EDT.



* Primary threats include...

  A few tornadoes possible

  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2

    inches in diameter possible

  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible



SUMMARY...Storms are expected to intensify as they develop northeast

through northern Florida into southern Georgia with supercells and

bowing segments posing a risk for a few tornadoes, damaging wind and

large hail.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 80 statute miles

east and west of a line from 45 miles north northwest of

Jacksonville FL to 75 miles south southwest of Ocala FL. For a
