The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Parts of south central into northeast Nebraska



* Effective this Sunday night and Monday morning from 630 PM

  until 100 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible

  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible



SUMMARY...Severe storms will continue to develop and spread

northeastward along a slow-moving front from central into northeast

Nebraska, while other storms farther to the south and southwest

could move east of the ongoing Tornado Watch 490 across central

Nebraska.  Large hail will be the main threat the next few hours,

though some increase in the damaging-wind threat could occur late

this evening as storms congeal into a larger cluster.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 30

statute miles east and west of a line from 20 miles east of Oneill

NE to 45 miles south southeast of Hastings NE. For a complete

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening

weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

tornadoes.
