The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Northern Upper Michigan

  Lake Superior



* Effective this Friday morning and afternoon from 945 AM until

  500 PM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible



SUMMARY...A fast-moving line of storms will track across northern

parts of Upper Michigan this morning, posing a risk of locally

damaging wind gusts and hail.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 40

statute miles north and south of a line from 65 miles west of

Houghton MI to 40 miles north northeast of Marquette MI. For a
