The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  West Central Texas



* Effective this Tuesday morning from 1240 AM until 700 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  Scattered large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...A line of thunderstorms will continue to intensify

overnight across west Texas and spread across the watch area.  The

strongest parts of the line may pose a risk of locally damaging wind

gusts.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 55

statute miles east and west of a line from 70 miles north northeast

of Abilene TX to 80 miles south southwest of San Angelo TX. For a

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening

weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

tornadoes.
