The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  Northeast Arkansas

  Missouri Bootheel



* Effective this Thursday afternoon and evening from 215 PM until

  700 PM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  A couple tornadoes possible

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  Scattered large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible



SUMMARY...Isolated tornadoes and damaging winds are possible this

afternoon ahead of a compact low pressure system of Arkansas.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 40 statute miles

north and south of a line from 45 miles south southwest of

Batesville AR to 40 miles northeast of Jonesboro AR. For a complete
