The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  Louisiana

  West-central and southwestern Mississippi



* Effective this Sunday morning from 145 AM until 1000 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  A couple tornadoes possible

  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible



SUMMARY...A complex of strong-severe thunderstorms should proceed

generally eastward across the watch area through much of the

morning, offering damaging gusts and the potential for a few

rain-wrapped tornadoes.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 75 statute miles

east and west of a line from 55 miles southeast of Fort Polk LA to

35 miles northeast of Monroe LA. For a complete depiction of the

REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for

tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch

threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements

and possible warnings.

surface and aloft to 1 inch. Extreme turbulence and surface wind

gusts to 60 knots. A few cumulonimbi with maximum tops to 600. Mean
