The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Parts of southern Lower Michigan

  Lake Michigan



* Effective this Saturday evening from 650 PM until 1100 PM EDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible

  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible



SUMMARY...A cluster of storms over southern Lake Michigan, as well

as new storm development across southwest Lower Michigan, could

persist for another few hours.  Large hail will be the main concern,

though isolated damaging gusts will also be possible.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 40

statute miles north and south of a line from 40 miles south of

Muskegon MI to 25 miles east northeast of Jackson MI. For a complete
