The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Central North Dakota



* Effective this Saturday afternoon from 515 PM until Midnight

  CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  Isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible



SUMMARY...At least isolated or widely scattered severe thunderstorms

will continue to develop particularly across

south-central/east-central North Dakota this evening, with damaging

winds and severe hail a possibility.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 75

statute miles east and west of a line from 60 miles south of

Bismarck ND to 80 miles east northeast of Garrison ND. For a

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening

weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

tornadoes.

2 inches. Extreme turbulence and surface wind gusts to 60 knots. A
