The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Eastern and southern North Carolina

  Coastal Waters



* Effective this Saturday afternoon and evening from 530 PM until

  1000 PM EDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible



SUMMARY...A cluster with embedded supercells should spread

east-southeast from central North Carolina before decaying across

eastern North Carolina later this evening.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60

statute miles east and west of a line from 55 miles north northeast

of New Bern NC to 30 miles southeast of Fayetteville NC. For a
