The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Oklahoma Panhandle

  West Texas



* Effective this Monday afternoon and evening from 350 PM until

  1100 PM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely

  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2

    inches in diameter possible

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop late this

afternoon and move east with a risk for damaging wind gusts and

large hail. Thunderstorm coverage will likely increase into the

evening hours with a continued threat for damaging winds, and also

instances of large hail.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 55

statute miles east and west of a line from 25 miles west northwest

of Guymon OK to 95 miles south of Lubbock TX. For a complete

tornadoes.
