THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF



       NORTHWEST ARKANSAS

       SOUTHWEST MISSOURI

       NORTHERN AND EASTERN OKLAHOMA



EFFECTIVE THIS TUESDAY MORNING FROM 255 AM UNTIL 1000 AM CDT.



TORNADOES...HAIL TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND

GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE

AREAS.



THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 70 STATUTE

MILES NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 25 MILES NORTHWEST OF

CHANDLER OKLAHOMA TO 25 MILES EAST OF FAYETTEVILLE ARKANSAS.  FOR

DISCUSSION...SUPERCELLS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE DEVELOPING IN NE OK

ALONG AND N OF WARM FRONT IN EXIT REGION OF STRENGTHENING/MOISTENING

SSWLY LLJ.  OTHER STORMS EXPECTED TO FORM SSW ALONG COLD FRONT OVER

THE I-35 CORRIDOR.  WHILE MOST OF THE WARM FRONT STORMS SHOULD BE

SLIGHTLY ELEVATED...THE STORMS MAY BECOME INCREASINGLY SFC-BASED AS

ENVIRONMENT CONTINUES TO MOISTEN.  COUPLED WITH BACKED FLOW AT THE

SFC...SETUP COULD YIELD TORNADOES IN ADDITION TO LARGE HAIL/HIGH

WIND.



AVIATION...TORNADOES AND A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL

SURFACE AND ALOFT TO 2 INCHES. EXTREME TURBULENCE AND SURFACE
