The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  Northeast Arkansas

  Southern Illinois

  Southwest Indiana

  Western Kentucky

  Southeast Missouri

  Western Tennessee



* Effective this Wednesday morning from 305 AM until 800 AM CST.



* Primary threats include...

  A couple tornadoes possible

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely

  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2

    inches in diameter possible



SUMMARY...Bands of severe storms will move quickly eastward at up to

60 mph, with a continuing risk for damaging winds.  The stronger

storms will also pose a risk for large hail, and a couple of

tornadoes will be possible with embedded circulations.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 80 statute miles

east and west of a line from 45 miles east northeast of Mount Vernon

IL to 10 miles west of Memphis TN. For a complete depiction of the
