The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Western and northern Arkansas

  South-central Missouri

  Extreme southeastern Oklahoma

  Extreme northeast Texas



* Effective this Tuesday night and Wednesday morning from 910 PM

  until 300 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2

    inches in diameter possible

  Isolated significant damaging wind gusts to 75 mph possible



SUMMARY...This watch is intended to cover a carry-over of the severe

threat eastward from the remains of severe thunderstorm watch 121.

A broken band of thunderstorms will offer the risk for large hail

and damaging gusts for several more hours before weakening

overnight.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 45

statute miles east and west of a line from 35 miles west southwest

of Texarkana AR to 15 miles east northeast of Fort Leonard Wood MO.

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening

weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

tornadoes.

AVIATION...A few severe thunderstorms with hail surface and aloft to

2 inches. Extreme turbulence and surface wind gusts to 65 knots. A
