The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Southeast Iowa

  Western Illinois

  Northeast Missouri



* Effective this Thursday afternoon and evening from 105 PM until

  700 PM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely

  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible



SUMMARY...A cluster of intense and fast-moving thunderstorms over

southern Iowa will track across the watch area this afternoon,

posing a risk of damaging wind gusts and hail.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 45

statute miles north and south of a line from 35 miles west southwest

of Ottumwa IA to 45 miles east of Quincy IL. For a complete
