The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Eastern Kentucky

  Western West Virginia



* Effective this Friday afternoon and evening from 415 PM until

  900 PM EDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered large hail likely with isolated very large hail events

    to 2 inches in diameter possible

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...A cluster of severe thunderstorms over north-central

Kentucky will spread eastward this afternoon across the watch area.

Large hail and damaging winds are possible in the stronger cells.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60

statute miles east and west of a line from 65 miles north northeast

of Jackson KY to 30 miles south of Jackson KY. For a complete
