The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  East-Central Texas



* Effective this Wednesday afternoon and evening from 1255 PM

  until 800 PM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...A well-organized convective line will continue a general

eastward progression within a moist and increasingly unstable air

mass. This line, and perhaps a couple of semi-discrete storms ahead

of it, may pose a damaging wind, and possibly some tornado, risk

through the afternoon/early evening. A few storms could also produce

hail.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60

statute miles north and south of a line from 55 miles south of

Temple TX to 45 miles north northeast of Huntsville TX. For a

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening

weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

tornadoes.
