The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  west Texas



* Effective this Friday afternoon and evening from 135 PM until

  900 PM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  A few tornadoes possible

  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2

    inches in diameter likely

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible



SUMMARY...Supercells will continue developing this afternoon and

evening posing a risk for large hail and damaging wind gusts. A few

tornadoes will also be possible, especially by late afternoon into

early evening.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 65 statute miles

east and west of a line from 75 miles east northeast of Amarillo TX

to 80 miles south of Lubbock TX. For a complete depiction of the
