The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Eastern New Mexico



* Effective this Monday afternoon and evening from 250 PM until

  900 PM MDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered large hail likely with isolated very large hail events

    to 2 inches in diameter possible

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible



SUMMARY...Isolated severe storms will affect eastern New Mexico this

afternoon and evening, with large hail and damaging winds possible

in the most intense cores.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60

statute miles east and west of a line from 30 miles northeast of

Raton NM to 30 miles southeast of Roswell NM. For a complete
