The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Far western Oklahoma

  Texas Panhandle



* Effective this Tuesday afternoon and evening from 345 PM until

  1000 PM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2

    inches in diameter possible

  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...Multiple supercells are expected to develop from the

eastern Oklahoma Panhandle south across the central and eastern

portion of the Texas Panhandle before consolidating into a cluster

later this evening. Large hail is the primary threat.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60

statute miles east and west of a line from 160 miles north of

Childress TX to 65 miles south southwest of Childress TX. For a
