The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  Southwest and South-Central Texas



* Effective this Wednesday night and Thursday morning from 1020

  PM until 500 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  A couple tornadoes possible

  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5

    inches in diameter likely

  Scattered damaging winds likely with isolated significant gusts

    to 75 mph possible



SUMMARY...A combination of semi-discrete intense supercells and

other well-organized clusters of storms will persist into the

overnight with large hail and damaging winds continuing aside from a

tornado risk. This Tornado Watch serves as a replacement for Tornado

Watch 120 which had been scheduled to expire at 11 pm CDT.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 60 statute miles

north and south of a line from 100 miles west of Hondo TX to 50

miles east southeast of Austin TX. For a complete depiction of the

tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
