The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  North-central Kansas



* Effective this Saturday morning from 1250 AM until 600 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 75

    mph possible

  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible



SUMMARY...A bowing complex of thunderstorms initially over

northwestern Kansas may maintain its severe-wind potential eastward

across the watch area through the overnight hours.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 40

statute miles north and south of a line from 5 miles south southwest

of Hill City KS to 55 miles east northeast of Russell KS. For a
