The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Northwestern Minnesota

  Eastern North Dakota



* Effective this Wednesday morning from 130 AM until 900 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 75

    mph possible

  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible



SUMMARY...A severe thunderstorm complex initially over central ND is

forecast to cross a very moist air mass over much of eastern ND and

the Red River region into northwest MN.  The main concern will be

damaging gusts, with isolated severe hail also possible.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 70

statute miles east and west of a line from 60 miles south southeast

of Fargo ND to 45 miles west northwest of Hallock MN. For a complete

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening

weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

tornadoes.
