The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Southern North Dakota

  Central and eastern South Dakota



* Effective this Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning from 525

  PM until 100 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5

    inches in diameter possible

  Isolated significant damaging wind gusts to 75 mph possible

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...A few discrete supercells developing along the

north-central South Dakota and south-central North Dakota border

region should persist, spreading east-southeast into eastern

portions of South Dakota and southeast North Dakota this evening.

Large hail may be the most predominant hazard.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 70

statute miles north and south of a line from 90 miles west of

Aberdeen SD to 60 miles east southeast of Aberdeen SD. For a
