The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  Northeast Georgia

  Western North Carolina

  Southeast Tennessee



* Effective this Sunday night and Monday morning from 855 PM

  until 200 AM EDT.



* Primary threats include...

  A few tornadoes possible

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely

  Isolated large hail events to 1 inch in diameter possible



SUMMARY...A small cluster of intense thunderstorms over north

Georgia continues to track northeastward into the watch area.  The

strongest cells will pose a risk of damaging wind gusts and isolated

tornadoes.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 25 statute miles

north and south of a line from 130 miles west of Asheville NC to 5

miles south of Asheville NC. For a complete depiction of the watch
