The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  Western Louisiana

  East Texas



* Effective this Wednesday morning and afternoon from 1055 AM

  until 500 PM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  A few tornadoes likely with a couple intense tornadoes possible

  Widespread large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2

    inches in diameter likely

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely



SUMMARY...Thunderstorms are expected to intensify and spread

eastward across the watch area through the day, with a few severe

storms likely.  The strongest cells will pose a risk of large hail,

damaging winds, and a few tornadoes.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 65 statute miles

north and south of a line from 20 miles north of Austin TX to 35

miles east southeast of Natchitoches LA. For a complete depiction of
