The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Southern and eastern Oklahoma



* Effective this Thursday night and Friday morning from 1125 PM

  until 600 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Widespread damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 80

    mph likely

  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2

    inches in diameter possible

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...An arcing thunderstorm cluster across west-central

Oklahoma will likely develop into a forward-propagating MCS with

potential for widespread damaging winds as it accelerates across

parts of southern and eastern Oklahoma overnight.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 55

statute miles north and south of a line from 30 miles west of

Clinton OK to 50 miles east southeast of Mcalester OK. For a

tornadoes.
