The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Extreme northeast Kentucky

  Southeast Ohio

  Northern West Virginia



* Effective this Wednesday morning and afternoon from 640 AM

  until 100 PM EST.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...Clusters of strong/severe storms with a damaging wind and

hail risk will continue for the next couple of hours.  Additionally,

a line of strong/severe storms will move into this area from the

west after sunrise, with the risk for damaging winds.  Also, an

isolated tornado could occur with circulations embedded within the

clusters or line through the morning.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 80

statute miles east and west of a line from 20 miles east northeast

of Parkersburg WV to 25 miles west southwest of Charleston WV. For a

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening

weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

tornadoes.
