The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  Southwestern Alabama

  Southeastern Louisiana

  Southern Mississippi

  Coastal Waters



* Effective this Monday morning from 145 AM until 900 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  A couple tornadoes possible

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  Isolated large hail events to 1 inch in diameter possible



SUMMARY...A squall line will consolidate across southern Mississippi

and southeastern Louisiana early this morning and move eastward into

southwestern Alabama later this morning.  Occasional damaging gusts

with embedded bowing segments will be the main severe-storm risk,

though a couple of tornadoes may also occur with embedded

circulations in the line of storms.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 100 statute miles

east and west of a line from 30 miles north northeast of Pine Belt

MS to 25 miles west of Boothville LA. For a complete depiction of
