The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Northern Louisiana

  Northeast Texas



* Effective this Sunday afternoon from 515 PM until Midnight CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  Isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...Severe thunderstorms will continue to develop across

northeast Texas into Louisiana. A few supercells are possible, and

storms may otherwise gradually cluster and move southeastward across

the region, particularly near a prior outflow boundary. Large hail

and damaging winds are expected to be the primary risks, but some

tornado threat may exist as well, particularly near the

aforementioned outflow boundary where the air mass continues to

steadily destabilize.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 50

statute miles north and south of a line from 25 miles south

southwest of Tyler TX to 25 miles south of Monroe LA. For a complete

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening

weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

tornadoes.
