The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Eastern Alabama

  Western Georgia



* Effective this Thursday afternoon and evening from 545 PM until

  1100 PM EDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible



SUMMARY...A line of strong to severe thunderstorms will continue

southeastward through the evening hours across eastern Alabama and

western Georgia. Pockets of damaging winds will be the main concern.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 55

statute miles north and south of a line from 25 miles southeast of

Atlanta GA to 30 miles northwest of Troy AL. For a complete
