The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  Much of Western and Central North Dakota



* Effective this Thursday afternoon and evening from 315 PM until

  1100 PM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  A few tornadoes likely with a couple intense tornadoes possible

  Widespread large hail and isolated very large hail events to 4

    inches in diameter likely

  Widespread damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely



SUMMARY...Intense thunderstorms are expected to develop this

afternoon and evening across the watch area.  Supercells capable of

very large hail, damaging winds, and a few tornadoes are expected.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 90 statute miles

north and south of a line from 60 miles west northwest of Dickinson

ND to 50 miles east northeast of Jamestown ND. For a complete

tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
