The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Northwest Iowa

  Southern Minnesota

  Western Wisconsin



* Effective this Thursday afternoon from 505 PM until Midnight

  CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2

    inches in diameter possible

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible



SUMMARY...Thunderstorms are developing along a cold front extending

across south-central MN into western WI.  A few of these storms will

pose a risk of locally damaging wind gusts and hail through the

evening.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 50

statute miles north and south of a line from 50 miles west of

Worthington MN to 50 miles east northeast of Eau Claire WI. For a

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

tornadoes.
