The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Northeastern Colorado

  Southwestern Nebraska Panhandle

  Southeastern Wyoming



* Effective this Monday afternoon and evening from 235 PM until

  900 PM MDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2

    inches in diameter possible

  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible



SUMMARY...An isolated severe storm has formed near Cheyenne, with

other isolated storm development expected the next couple of hours

southward along the Front Range into northern Colorado.  The storm

environment supports supercells capable of producing large hail and

damaging winds through late evening.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 55

statute miles east and west of a line from 55 miles north northeast

of Cheyenne WY to 45 miles east southeast of Denver CO. For a

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening

weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

tornadoes.
