The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  South-central Texas



* Effective this Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning from

  545 PM until 200 AM CST.



* Primary threats include...

  A few tornadoes likely

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely

  Isolated large hail events to 1 inch in diameter possible



SUMMARY...Storms will continue to increase this evening, initially

across the Edwards Plateau. Damaging winds and some severe hail will

be possible, but a few tornadoes will also be possible, especially

as storms encounter richer moisture and stronger low-level shear

toward the Hill County/I-35 general vicinity later this evening into

the overnight.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 95 statute miles

east and west of a line from 60 miles west northwest of Austin TX to

45 miles south of Hondo TX. For a complete depiction of the watch
