The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  Western and southern Alabama

  Western Florida Panhandle

  Coastal Waters



* Effective this Thursday afternoon and evening from 350 PM until

  1100 PM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  A few tornadoes likely with a couple intense tornadoes possible

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely



SUMMARY...Line of strong to severe thunderstorms will spread east

from Mississippi through this evening. Damaging winds and a few

tornadoes are the expected threats.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 110 statute miles

north and south of a line from 80 miles west northwest of Evergreen

AL to 35 miles east northeast of Evergreen AL. For a complete
