The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Far north Florida

  Southern Georgia

  Southern South Carolina

  Coastal Waters



* Effective this Sunday afternoon and evening from 1240 PM until

  900 PM EDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 65 mph likely

  Isolated large hail events to 1 inch in diameter possible



SUMMARY...A linear cluster of thunderstorms across southwest Georgia

should continue northeast, while downstream scattered storm

development occurs across much of southern portions of Georgia and

South Carolina. Multiple clusters producing strong to isolated

severe wind gusts are anticipated.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 65

statute miles north and south of a line from 20 miles northwest of

Moultrie GA to 50 miles east southeast of Charleston SC. For a

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

tornadoes.
