The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Tornado Watch for portions of

  Central Texas



* Effective this Saturday afternoon and evening from 115 PM until

  800 PM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  A few tornadoes possible

  Scattered large hail likely with isolated very large hail events

    to 2 inches in diameter possible

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely



SUMMARY...Thunderstorms are expected to intensify across portions of

central Texas this afternoon and spread east-northeastward across

the watch area.  Supercells capable of large hail, damaging wind

gusts, and isolated tornadoes are possible.



The tornado watch area is approximately along and 50 statute miles

north and south of a line from 90 miles west of Austin TX to 90

miles northeast of College Station TX. For a complete depiction of
