The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Southeast Colorado

  Southwest Kansas

  Oklahoma Panhandle

  Texas Panhandle



* Effective this Saturday afternoon and evening from 155 PM until

  900 PM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered large hail likely with isolated very large hail events

    to 2 inches in diameter possible

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...Thunderstorms will continue to intensify over the watch

area through the afternoon, with a few intense cells expected.

Large hail and locally damaging wind gusts are likely.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 85

statute miles north and south of a line from 5 miles north northwest

of Clayton NM to 80 miles east of Borger TX. For a complete
