The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Central Montana



* Effective this Thursday afternoon and evening from 110 PM until

  800 PM MDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Widespread large hail and scattered very large hail events to 3

    inches in diameter likely

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...Intense thunderstorm development is expected this

afternoon over parts of central Montana, with supercells capable of

very large hail and damaging wind gusts.  A tornado or two is also

possible this evening in the eastern half of the watch area.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 95

statute miles east and west of a line from 50 miles southeast of

Helena MT to 35 miles west northwest of Havre MT. For a complete

tornadoes.
