The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Northwest Iowa

  Far Southwest Minnesota

  Northeast Nebraska

  Southeast South Dakota



* Effective this Sunday night from 730 PM until Midnight CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 75

    mph possible

  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible



SUMMARY...A cluster of storms will continue to organize and spread

southeastward this evening across southeast South Dakota and

neighboring parts of southwest Minnesota into northeast Nebraska and

possibly northwest Iowa. Damaging winds and isolated large hail are

possible as storms race southeast.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60

statute miles north and south of a line from 65 miles north

northwest of Oneill NE to 45 miles southeast of Sioux Falls SD. For

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

tornadoes.
