The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  Much of north central Texas



* Effective this Thursday night and Friday morning from 635 PM

  until 100 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2

    inches in diameter possible

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible



SUMMARY...Thunderstorm development is expected this evening along

and ahead of a cold front, and storms will persist into early

tonight.  The storm environment will support supercells and

organized line segments capable of producing large hail and damaging

winds.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 70

statute miles east and west of a line from 20 miles east northeast

of Sherman TX to 35 miles east southeast of Stephenville TX. For a

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

tornadoes.
