The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of

  South central Texas to the middle Texas coast

  Coastal Waters



* Effective this Sunday night and Monday morning from 905 PM

  until 400 AM CDT.



* Primary threats include...

  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2

    inches in diameter possible

  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

  A tornado or two possible



SUMMARY...A squall line has evolved across south central Texas and

will likely persist while surging east-southeastward toward the

middle Texas coast through the early morning hours.  Damaging winds

and large hail will be the main threats with bowing segments, and an

isolated tornado may also occur with embedded circulations.



The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60

statute miles east and west of a line from 20 miles northeast of New

Braunfels TX to 40 miles south southeast of Corpus Christi TX. For a

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening

weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

tornadoes.
